Classroom Timer

A countdown timer designed to be read from across the room. Set the minutes and seconds, press start, and the digits fill the screen while a ring quietly shows how much time has passed. Use it for silent reading, transitions, group tasks or tests. Press once to pause, press again to resume, all from the keyboard or a presentation clicker.

How to use it

Type the minutes and seconds you want. The timer remembers your last setting.
Press Start timer or the spacebar. Press again to pause.
Press F for a full-screen countdown with nothing else on the board.

Frequently asked questions

Does the classroom timer make a sound when it ends?

No. It changes colour and stays at 00:00 so the class can see time is up without a buzzer startling anyone. Silent by design for calm transitions.

Can I run the timer and pick students in the same lesson?

Yes. The picker, group generator and timer share one class list and sit one click apart in the navigation. Your settings are kept between visits.

Does it work offline or on a school network?

The page is small, static and has no third-party scripts, so it loads in well under a second even on filtered or slow networks. Once loaded, the timer runs without any connection.
